Ah Kong's Love

Last night, before bed, I was chatting with Mei Mei, and here's our conversation.

Mama: Mei Mei, who bought new shoes for you?
Mei Mei: Ah Kong
Mama: Do you love Ah kong?
Mei Mei: yes
Mama:Then who Ah Kong love?
Mei Mei: Whao whao (Lucky)

Haha.. this little mei know that Ah Kong is the one who take care of lucky by walk him, bath him and feed him, no wonder she said Ah Kong love him the most.

Sticker doll

When I was little girl, my mama bought me paper doll (10 cent per piece and can tear out to change cloths one) to played. Sometimes I also DIY la, draw on the paper and cut out and make nice dresses for them. But now, I can't find this kind of toys. So lucky that during my Hatyai trip, I saw this special sticker doll, so I bought 3 for Kaitlyn. She's just like it, she can play around with mix and match the cloths for the doll. This sticker doll is better than old time paper doll, as the cloths can stick on the doll body without dropping. What a big ideal of having this doll in sticker, the good thing is it is reusable.

Ah Lian taste

Oh My God!!! I cannot believe that my girl have ah lian taste. Look at the heels in the photo.. is choosen by Kaitlyn, bought by Ah Kong. What a sharp pink and I cannot stand the shining shining diamond and the gold.. really ah lian lol..but Kaitlyn like it so much, really pengsan!!

1st Movie in Cinema

Princess and the Frog

I took Kaitlyn for her first movie in Sunway carnival mall GSC today by watching this movie, she's always love this kind of love story so how can I missed this chance. Beside me and her, we also invite Suzanne and her mama along. Movie start at 11:30 and we reach there 5 mins earlier,just enough time for us to purcahse tickets and popcorn. Before the show start, she told me that she was afraid, may be is due to the darkness and scary preview. Luckily the whole movie she watch with laughter and excitement, of course enjoying her pop corn too. She's behaved throughout the movie but during the end of the show, she request to sit in my lap, as the chair is quite annoying, keep closing due to her light weight :)

A new nursery rhymes Kaitlyn learn from school. She played around with her fingers when she read the rhymes, I have took the video for her but fail to upload the video clip. What a lousy mama!

Christmas Day

Today is christmas day, I've to worked, I feel so sorry for the girls. But fortunately that we still can spend the evening together. We bought them to Secret Recipe for some cheesecake and ice cream at Heagen Daz afterwards. They never outing till so late, tonight is so exceptional.

Yesterday Kaitlyn school have Christmas party, as usual teacher is asking them to wear either red, green or white. So I dress her up in white dress that I recently bought for her and tie with santa clause sock hair band which look very cute on her. She also learn a few christmas song from school, like jingle bell, wish u merry christmas and ...., we feel the joy when she sang all these song. She got her christmas present from teacher and this year mama also want to bring some excitement for them so bought each of them a christmas present. They are so excited when unwrap the present.

Kaitlyn told me that Christmas is a happy day. Yes!! You are right girl. Merry christmas!

She also want to on leave

I'm planning to send Kaitlyn for some extra classes during weekend and go to Sunday school. When I'm telling her this, her first response was.. no, saturday and sunday she need to on leave. This girl sometimes really said something that will make us laugh.

冬至

Today is 冬至, I bring home some 汤圆 from my mama house, all make from natural colour, yellow is from pumpkin, purple is from a kind of flower, red from dragon fruit and green from pandan leaf, Kaitlyn likes it so much. She also told me that teacher let them make the 汤圆 today, and she's so happy about it. So I told her, may be next year we can do it ourselve, no need to trouble popo anymore. Actually today is 1 year anniversary we move in this house, we move in the next day after the 冬至last year.

Last week, we went to KL to attend hubby uni friend wedding without bought 2 girls along so they have to overnight at Ah Mah house. When we get home, Kaitlyn very manja and cry because she said she missed us. I think same as Mei Mei la but she just don't know how to express it by words. Kaitlyn slept with Ah Kong and Ah Mah, Kait Yee slept with kakak, kakak told us that the first night Mei Mei can only fall asleep by accompany of the bear bear. From that night onwards, she was attached to it, will go everywhere by hugging it and never missed when go to bed.


This trip is a fruitful trip for the girls... new toys and new chair and new study table. Last night papa is fixing a new chair for Kaitlyn. This chair is high enough for her to eat in dining table, as she always complain that she's short and cannot reach the table. What I missed this trip is the writing board that I want to buy for Kaitlyn but is out of stock. Hope next time I can get it without any disappointment la. See the 2 little mouse, is for both of them, now buy toys, have to buy 2, so they won't fight for it.

Ai Sui Po

Want to be pretty is really nature of girls, my Mei Mei is really ai sui po, everytime I tight hair for Jie Jie, she also want me to tight or pin for her. After I did it, she sure go to mirror and take a look and give herself a smile.

Kaitlyn no longer ask for a fairy tales during bed time. Now she's more interested in what we had dream of, she will ask me what did I dream last night, of course she also share her with me... consistently for 2 weeks already. Sometimes I really cannot remember what did I dreamt, so I just simply said one.

Encouragment from the small one

Last 2 days, when Kaitlyn finish drinking her milk, Mei Mei suddenly said wow.. and give her a big clap. I really feel funny of this scene. I think Mei Mei also can feel the hard time to get her Jie Jie finished a cup of milk, no wonder she give her the encouragment. Jie Jie, shame on you :P

Be Grateful

Kaitlyn told me that she missed her teacher Gan so much when her school shut down 2 days for renovation and told me that teacher Gan no longer teach them, she'd assign to teach K2 by next year. Tomorrow is the children day, there is a party and "fun fair" in her school, it also mark the end of class N2. I think teacher also take the opportunity to introduces new friends and teacher to them as by 1 Dec all the children will go to new class. She told me she wonder who will her K1 teacher be. Since this little girl keep telling me she missed teacher Gan, so I asked her if she want to make a thank you card for her teacher, of course this girl want and she's so excited about it. deng,... deng.. here it is, a simple card but very meaningful. Hope her teacher like it and Kaitlyn know how to be grateful always.

Losing patience

Hubby was away 3 days to JB and Singapore. I've to take care of 2 naughty. Kaitlyn is having ulcer on her lips, refuse to eat everything and very not behave. Yesterday morning, I losing my patience with her, and yelled at her very loudly. But on the way to work, I feel very guilty as she's just 4 yrs old child, why I treat her so badly. I remember she told me before, if she cry and being naughty, she ask me not to scold her but yet sayang sayang her by giving her a hug or carry her, then she'll be ok. I keep reminding myself, I need to control my temper when teaching my girls.

New member

A new member joining Ooi's family, but is not a baby... is an animal, a small puppy (Golden Retriever)with only 5 weeks old. He come to Ah Kong house yesterday, both the girls like it so much, but Mei Mei is a bit afraid of him. We want to give him a name, and there was so many suggestion, Kaitlyn want to name him Macky, she says the name sounds very nice and she got this name from a cartoon that she watched, kuku want it to be Rocky, Ah Kong want the name Lucky.. haha..at last we have to call him Lucky as Ah kong is the elder at home and he bought the dog, so we all have to respect his call.

Say NO to everthing she don't want

Mei Mei recently likes to say "NO NO" to the things that she don't like. I know that is time she's going to give me hard time!!

Very naughty now, but she deny it. When we ask her who's naughty.. the answer we get is never herself one. No matter how's the question is,

Prize presentation

There is no year end concert in Kaitllyn school, but there is a graduation day for all the K2 children, school also take this opportunity to present some prizes to the children.
Our neighbour's son, Jasper is going to standard one next year and he also studied in the same school with Kaitlyn, when we reach there, we saw him wearing a graduate gown and snap photos with her sister. I'm thinking another 2 years Kaitlyn will wearing the gown as well and graduate from the kindergarden, what in my mind is will she be able to wear all those gown which look big on her, haha.. I always think too much.
Kaitlyn is very happy and sit with her classmate. I also manage to took some picture for her with her friends and teachers.. likes her form teacher in N1, Teacher Embi and also this year form teacher, Teacher Gan.

2009 Report Card

Time flies, Kaitlyn will be going to K1 next year.

She bring home her report card today, by comparing to last semester, she did improved. All A and no more B for interpersonal and social skill, which means that she's more willing to share now, social & emotional development also improved, I'm impressed of that. Hope she will keep up the good job.

(There is one day when I meet Teacher Sheena, she comments that Kaitlyn look very cute to be monitor, the smallest size in class but yet very helpful, always help teacher keep the books and distribute pencils)

Honours: Academic Top Achiever, Best Pupil Award and Story telling competition special awards.
(She won Best Pupil awards this year again, which I'm doubt why teacher can give her this honour, because she's not behave at home :P)

Big Bully in school

Kaitlyn used to chit chat with me before she fall asleep. Last night, she told me that one of her friend likes to roll eyes on her when she meet her in the morning, this little friend likes to "我跟你好，我不跟你好", even don't let her sit in the chair which she have reserve for other friends. Isn't sad if someone don't want to friend with you and treat you so badly. I can understand her feeling but that's childhood. I believe that we all had experience that before also. I told her as long as we treat people nicely, people will treat us the same.

Papa is in hospital now, he had his shoulder muscle surgery this afternoon, just wonder will this bouquet of flowers given from his colleague and little card make from Kaitlyn can cheer him up?

Good things will come

I've not blog about 2 girls for almost a month. Oct is a busy month for me, heavy workload and many "bad things" happened, hope Nov is a brand new start for us.

What had happened:

Ah Mah admitted to hospital due to apendix pain, I need to on emergency leave to take care of 2 girls, pending job pile up like hill, luckily I have a helpful backup, who help me a lot when I was absence. So terrible was that week Kait Yee, Kaitlyn, myself, hubby was having a food poisoning, vomit and diarrhea quite seriously.

Anothing things bothering me is hubby's shoulder, his shoulder pain since 2 weeks ago till now, every night wake up from pain. After physiotherapy also not seems better.

Really stressful when all the unexpected things happen..

Kaitlyn is eating the mee sua egg which I cooked for her on her lunar calender birthday, looks like enjoy eating it, but actually not, she just take 4-5 mouth and said that she's full, in order not to waste, all dump to Mei Mei and mama tummy!!

Bought this Snow white lantern for Kaitlyn but no chance to play due to raining. Nevermind keep for next year!

She dare

I stop breastfeed Mei Mei since her 7 plus mths. She was fully fed with formula since then. But how lucky she was, she have 2 supply of EBM again!! From her Ku Ku and Kim Kim.. both just delivered baby and fully breastfeed their baby, and they really good producer, have excess of the milk and can give to Mei Mei. Many child who start taking formula will not take the EBM again but Mei Mei did :P

Birthday party in school

4 Oct is Kaitlyn birthday but is fall on Sunday. So we dicided to have a small birthday celebration for her in school with her classmate.We had ordered a snow white cake for her and Kaitlyn is full of excitement on how her cake looks like, but unfortunately this morning when we go to the bakery shop to collect the cake only know that the Jie Jie mistakenly thought that we want it on 3rd, so no choice, have to choose another cake. Both of me and hubby was so worry will she feel sad when she know that the cake is not the snow white, luckily she's ok with the blueberry chococalate one.

This is the first time she have her birthday celebration in school, as what I promise her, I pack some goodies (stationary, MILO wafer and a lolly pop) to her little friends. Hope not only Kaitlyn is happy but everyone is enjoying too.

Booster Seat

Kaitlyn is short, so everytime when we travel by car, she don't really can look at the scenery outside. Papa have talking about buying a booster seat for her since last year, but I stop him because of too expensive and not worth it, as we can get RM49.90 only from Carrfour. So coincidence that last sunday, we went to Gurney Plaza Toy "R" US and saw the booster seat is on sales (Hari Raya Offer) so we bought it. It is quite useful, my girl can enjoy outside scenery better now and more safely. She can even look at the cocky rocky and henny penny that we pass by every morning without standing and lossen safety belt. Next time, can pass to Mei Mei la, Xuan Xuan la, Xiao Jie la... so conclusion - worth it!

Gathering with college friends

Today, I have a gathering with some my college friend, we have not contacting each other after our SAM (almost 14 years). Through facebook, we get to contact again!
Today's gathering of course full of kids and fun. Hope next year, there will be another round of gathering with more old friends and I can bring Mei Mei too next time. In the picture have Kaitlyn, Shania, Renee and Xin Yi. 2 small one, Phelliny(11 mths) and Xin Yuan(7 mths) was not in the pic, they are too small to join in the crowd. Gary and Bedd keep comments that why all girls?? (both of them haven't got children)

Mei Mei ask for 巧虎

Yesterday, Mei Mei was asking me to open 巧虎 CD for her.

Kait Yee: 虎...虎
Me: Ok, mama open 巧虎 for you, you go and seat on the sofa first.

She really follow my instructions, after 30 mins, the show end, I closed it and switch off the TV. She want another one..

Kait Yee:虎...虎
Me: If you want, you go n ask papa first.

Walk to study room to find papa.

Kait Yee:Papa, 虎...
Papa:ok, ok Papa open for you.

At the end she watch another episod.

And later the afternoon, while Kakak is cleaning up the bedroom, I open another episod for her which she quietly sit and watch for another 30 mins. 巧虎 really attract her attention, she likes to follow 巧虎 dance :)

Ask for more

Thank GOD! At least Mei Mei is the one who always ask for food, hope this can continue and don't give me hard time like Jie Jie.

My Mei Mei likes to eat everything except banana, her taste bud is difference from her Jie Jie, Jie Jie likes banana so much, but not Mei Mei. She don't eat banana, even the muffin or cake make from banana also NO NO.

Now, when she finish eating and want more, she'll says more more ...

Birthday present from Jie Ern

Kaitlyn request me to take this photo for her, with the present she got from Jie Ern birthday. She got quite a lot of present from her friends birthday this year, likes note pad, stationary, sticker book... etc. Kaitlyn will turn 4 next mth, she also request me to pack some goodies for her classmate, I'm wondering what is best for the kids? Shall I buy the stationary too? or make some cookies? Papa was joking to her that he's going to give each of her friends a gold plate with Kaitlyn name crafted. Wow!! What a KIASU papa.. crazy thought!! He'll sure famous if he really do that...hahaha

Counting

I notice Mei Mei know counting lately, when we say 1, she'll say 2, we say 3, she say 4.. and till 8 (she only know even number) teach her to say 1,3,5, but she don't follow. Said the next number instead.

Jie Jie can write number 1- 20 now, also in word, she's able to spell one till twenty. But she's not good in calculation.

Today is the inter class story telling competition, each class have 4 representative. For N2, should have 24 participants. Kaitlyn didn't manage to get through to inter branch.. she's kind of disspointed. But I have told her that she's so great today, very confidence. Just happen that she told a bit fast.. Hope she never give up and keep on the courage to participate next time. I'm so happy to get to know her little friends today, those that she keep repeating their name at home, like Kelly Goh, Hui Yi, Zhi Xin (her best friend), Edward, Gi Shawn, Jie Ern....



So thankful to Ai Nee aunty who make the mouse ears and tail for Kaitlyn. Doesn't she look cute? Which kakak said that the lion also not bear to eat this cute little mouse!

Mei Mei 15 mths updates

It has been 3 mths I don't post on Mei Mei progress. Today she excatly 15 mths old.

She's still very petite, if not mistaken, about 8.2 kg, height haven't measure. This few weeks fever keep attack her, don't know if is because of growing teeth, I see 6 tooth is growing at the same time, total have 14 tooth.

She's our food tax official, whatever we eat, she need to tax some. She even eat curry fish that Ah Kong bought.

And this careless mama tought her formula is 2 oz water with 1 scoop formula. Yesterday when papa make the milk for her only realised that 6oz water should be 5 scoop formula. Mama never read instructions.

She's like green, how I notice it? She always pick up block or objects with green, even though there are others colour to choose.

Calling Ah Kong when saw him coming home from work, also know how to call Ah Mah, uncle, popo...

Know more vacabulary.. bra(zebra), bear, bird, bye bye, clock, fish, water... when we say something, she'll follow the last word we said.

She also know how to say please, especially when want to eat someting or when Jie Jie try to snatch away her toys, she'll hold it very tight and keep saying please to her Jie Jie not to take away, but yet the Jie Jie still snatch away.

She've a habit, she'll touch the pillow case label until she fall asleep, not only the pillow case, she also likes to touch label or logo that stitch on the cloths or pants. I have to make sure this pillow case is always in good condition, if ruin, my little Mei Mei won't be able to sleep well.



And last but not least, she's my alarm clock, wake me up every morning at 6:30 am :)

Story Telling competition

Today, hubby received a call from teacher Seline. Telling him that Kaitlyn was choosen to the inter-class story telling competition, requesting us to preparing custom for a mouse or lion for her next friday, as this girl will tell a story with title "The lion and the mouse".

Actually they have a class competition last friday, every children was encourage to participate and tell a story within 5 mins. After listening a few story from Kaitlyn, we suggest her to tell "The lion and the mouse".

Now I've 2 worry, where to find the custom? Buy?? Definitely not, so I need to do it myself! Can I do that?? Let's try to find if I able to get any material first.

2nd, if she able to win during the inter-class, then by 19 Sep she'll go for inter-branch. 19th, I will have a gathering with my college friends, then I may not able to join the gathering.. haha.. I think too much already.

Another funny things is that my Mei Mei also able to tell the story, of course she don't know how to say in sentence or words.. but she do some action and sound.. is real funny if you see it.

"One day, a little mouse (she'll do the chik chik chik sound) was caught by a lion ( she roar) who wanted to eat it up (she pretend to eat)...." :)

Rapunzel in making

Kaitlyn is fancy on all the fairy tales, Rapunzel is one of her favourite. Last time, she don't want us to tight her hair, but after she read the Rapunzel story, she want her hair long till leg.
She request me or kakak to tight tresses for her so that she can play the Rapunzel, she'll let down her hair when we call up her name. One good thing is we can tight her hair easily, but what shall I do if she don't want to cut her hair... haha, then have to convince her to be Snow White who hair is short.

Fun with puzzles

Kaitlyn is working on the 24 pieces floor puzzle. See... how concentrate she was.

How about the little one, do she know how to fix??? No la.. she's messy maker!!

Singapore Trip

Singapore trip - 6 Aug till 9 Aug.

The main purpose of this trip is papa need to settle his account opening there, and I take this opportunity to meet up my high school best friend, Cheng Cheng and also one of the colleauge who just transfer to LSCA in Singapore and also let Kaitlyn experience flying by plane.

We have a great time with CC, we went to Sentosa Island together (underwater world and Dolphine Lagoon) the most memorable session for Kaitlyn is she can get near to the dolphine and touch it. Of course.. there is a price to pay :P

We also very impress to see Singapore zoo maintenance, feeding session and the shows which hardly can find over here. Places that we went..Singapore Flyer, Merlion and Boat Quey.

Overall the trip is quite tight..hehe..not enough time for me to shop! The most tiring people is papa la, who carry Kaitlyn all the time, this little girl refuse to walk by herself... Actually if she behave well, we may consider to bring her out more frequent.. but by looking at this trip, I don't think she's ready yet!

Meow Meow

I bought an animal book for Mei Mei, the animal attract her the most is cat. Both of my girls likes cat. The model above is popo's pet cat. Today when we went back to popo house, I show it to Mei Mei, and she's likes it so much, keep saying meow meow ...

再辛苦也是值得的！

Hectic workload for me and hubby after company restructuring.

Yesterday when we reached home is almost 8p.m, the moment we step in the house, we receive a warm greeting from Mei Mei by calling us mama and papa. I'm so happy, this is the 1st time she call us without ask to. All my tiredness disappear.

Same with Jie Jie, know that both of us are so tired and try to entertain us by singing her favourite song to us.

I'm so happy to have both of them, 再辛苦也是值得的！

Mei Mei likes to go to the garden to play, so I ask her if you want to go out, said walk walk. If she follow then only I let her out. Since then, whenever she want to go out, she'll point to her shoes and say walk walk. hehe.. I did it, although is just a word.
Another milestones that I hope she can reach is she can express herself by words, speak more by her own free will, not by instructions.

Words she can say:
walk walk，papa, mama, kakak, jie jie (not really pronounce clearly).

Fruits stall ko ko

Yesterday is 初一。Every 初一 十五, we used to asked the fruits stall ko ko to delivered the fruits to us. Kaitlyn know him, everytime he come, she'll called him ko ko. But unfortunately this guy met an accident yesterday and passed away. He just delivered the fruits to us yesterday evening around 7:30p.m, but heard the accident happen around 9p.m when he want to delivered the fruits to others. We all really shock when heard this bad news. Especially Kaitlyn, she keep asking us what had happen to him. I can feel her sadness.

Delays in speech

I start worrying Mei Mei, almost reach 14 mths, still don't know how to say a single words. In order to heard she speak, we even bribe her with ice cream or bread. When we ask her to call Papa, she'll say Mama, when we ask her to say Mama, she'll say Papa. But I think she know the meaning of Papa and Mama, because when I ask her where is Papa, she'll look at him. She understand our conversation quite well, but the problem is she don't want to talk. Compare to Jie Jie, Jie Jie able to speak 3-4 words sentence at this age. Jie Jie is really fast in her speech. Every child is difference! Hope Mei Mei can pick it up fast and greet us when see us come back from home, not with bribe or force.

Papa away for 5 days

Last sunday night, papa comes back from Chengdu. Me and Kaitlyn go to airport to fetched him, once Kaitlyn saw him, hug him so tight and cried, said that she missed him. Just 5 days apart, she already cried terribly, I can't imagine what if papa works outstation. This little girl keep count down day by day, at first papa was telling her that he'll away for 3 days, so at the 3rd day, she asked me why papa still not come back, she actually count! We shouldn't lie to children.

Papa didn't bring back any panda softtoy for the girls but 2 boxes of "wife biscuit" and chocolates from HK airport for us. Hehe.. my favourite, yummy yummy!!

After Mei Mei walks, she keep hurting herself. Today she walked to open the books cabinet and the door hit her face, leave a scar about 1cm which very near to her left eye.

1st passport for Jie Jie

Kaitlyn got her 1st passport today. We plan to bring her to Singapore during next month and this will be her 1st time to travel by plane.

We reach imigration office around 10:30a.m and the whole application took about 45 mins. Consider fast, but the most troublesome one is to take her photo. We was ask to walk out to the shop nearby to take the snap because inside imigration office they don't take for children.
Documents needed is only birth cert, my I.C and 2 passport size photo, that's all. RM150 for children and we get the passport within 2 hrs.

Family Sports Carnival 2009 at Han Chiang Indoor Stadium

Today is a sports day for Kaitlyn school, she's in blue whale team, so we as a parents also need to wear blue to show our support to our children. Is a fun day, and I saw many parents really very supportive, not only wearing blue shirt, but some even wear blue hair, tight blue scarf on their head and even create a slogan for blue whale team.

The slogan is:
"Blue whale Blue whale Go Go Go
Get to the end and win the gold
Blue whale Blue whale is the best
Lets have fun and win the match"

Kaitlyn is taking part on bom bom dance which she've been pratice it for few weeks. She dance well, not fear and don't cried like the first time she went to the stage. She's fantastic!



The telematch for 3-4 yrs old, is passing ball and the last one need to throw into the basketball net, at first Kaitlyn is not paying attention, when the ball come to her, she's still blur blur, looking here and there. don't know passing the ball to others.Blue team get 3rd prize and she ask me why not 1st, I told her because they lack of team work. Haha.. hope she's understand it and keep on the sportmanship.

Careless parents

Yesterday morning, someone come to fixed the water leaking in the bath room, and need to hack on the wall, so papa asked me to clean up the kitchen before they start working. He leave 2 girls in the living room and went next door, suddenly I heard Mei Mei cried loudly, and run outside to check what had happen, saw the lock was dropped on the floor. Must be the lock knock on her, after checking, she have a minor wound on her head.

After dinner, I see papa was around with 2 girls and make a phone call to my mum to tell her that we are going back to her house. Again, Mei Mei fall down while she try to touch papa speaker. A great fall until her mouth bleeding.

Papa cut his finger, car tyre puncture. So many bad things happen to us. Is a bad luck day or b'cos of careless parents, I think for Mei Mei incident, shall be the 2nd one. I keep remind myself, don't let this kind of accident happen again, luckily this is a minor one.

Mei Mei start walking this week

Mei Mei start walking this week, at first, she is very nervous, walk very fast towards the sofa, table which she will hold on it or people that can hold her. She walk about 5-6 steps but now she can walk a longer distance and more steady pace. She refuse people to carry her now, walk here and there by herself. All of us more tired after she start walking, must keep our eyes on her, else afraid she will fall down.

Birthday Card for Kait Yee

Mei Mei don't have any birthday present, but at least she had this birthday card from Wyeth. This cute Lex the lion birthday card just received today, the letter was post to Mei Mei (her first letter) but the name was type wrongly, they write it as Kait Lee!

Father's Day

What papa get for his father's day, errrr... a small hand made card from me and Kaitlyn. I don't think it look's good compare to the one I had... hehe. Actually I did do one for him and want to print it out, and let the girls handover to him.. but this lazy mama no time to do it, so just post it here for papa la.

Teacher didn't teach any father's day song, so unfair hor, mother's day have song and present but father's day nothing. But this doesn't stop Kaitlyn from expressing her love to her papa, she modify 我的好妈妈 to 我的好爸爸。Hope papa will like it la.

I think my girls love their papa so much, but they also scared of him, b'cos he likes to scold people :P But neverthelss, he is a great PAPA, who work so hard everyday, for worry over jobs, household thingy and a lot more. And every time he think of is to earn more and more money to let 2 girls have better life in future :)

Bath time

During weekend, I observe that when kakak help Mei Mei taking bath, she will ask her to do a few steps:

Hands up - raise her hands in order for kakak to wash her armpit.
Rub body - after kakak apply body shampoo, Mei Mei will help herself by rubbing body.
Wash hand - rub rub her hand.
Look up to the ceiling - to wash her neck.

She's so co-operative, do all these step when ask to.

Baby Boy

Lately I was ask to deliver a baby boy, is not from my hubby. Is my Kaitlyn. She keep requesting me "mama, u deliver another baby boy la". I ask her why, why she want baby boy?The answer I got from her is too many baby girl for our family, all is baby girl, 伯伯 baby is girl, 姑姑 baby also girl and no baby boy. She likes boy. So I told her, gender is given by GOD, we cannot choose one. After a few days, when I'm making the cookies, she ask me to teach her, so in future she can make for her children and say... I think GOD will give me a baby boy la.

Last friday, both of me and hubby was on leave. Since is a day off, so think of how to occupy the day. Our activity is to bring Mei Mei for her MMR jab. What a pity girl, actually this jab can be taken from 12 - 15 mths. I'm a bit regret of bring her so early, reason 1 is for sure she'll have fever after the vaccine. Yes, exactly, last night her temperature shoot up to 39.8 degree celcious, so scary! Reason 2 is people said that MMR can caused the child become 自闭, but Dr told us that it was not proven and advise to take it now instead of few mths later. At last, took the MMR instead of chicken pox vaccine.

I think Mei Mei already phobia, she's start crying from the time she step in the room, and so hard to measure her, only able to weight her with 3 people help. 7.5kg ONLY! I have expected Dr to comments on her small size. What to do, both mama and papa small ma.

On the way back to popo house, we stop by at Island hospital to visit my sister in law and the new born, a sweet baby girl who looks alikes my 2nd brother :) Welcome to the family, baby.

Nothing is more happy than watching them play together, laugh together, grow together and love each other.

First Pair of Shoes

I get a pair of shoes for Mei Mei finally, is just fit her little feet, the size is up to 12 mths old. Both of my girls are petite, they always wear smaller size cloths, like Mei Mei still wearing new born pyjamas and Jie Jie 18-24 mths still can wear. But I can said that their foot is big! Can wear those at their age.

Happy Birthday to Mei Mei

Today is Mei Mei birthday, we have ordered a resberry cheesecake for her from Secret Recipe, no big celebration as I need to work. Actually I plan to on leave and make a small party for her, but I really cannot make it.

When we reached home, is about 7:30p.m, she's look very tired, wearing her new shirt and pant, but not shoe (I can't find any nice one for her, but I promise when I have time, will shop for her). Also, not wearing a smile .. I heard kakak Dewi said that she's so happy the whole day, in the morning, Ah Mah cooked Mee Sua with eggs for her to eat and since 5:30p.m already waiting at the main door for us to come back. I think she must be waiting too long until all the mood gone. I feel so sorry for her.

From the shots that I took yesterday, none is with her smiling face, so bad... this is the only one look better.

Here's her 12 mths old updates:

1. Shows 怕怕 when she heard dogs barks.

2. When the phone rang, she's put her hand near her ear, trying to say hello (not clear one, sounds like ahhhooo).

6. When I ask her how she fall down, she'll show me by slapping her head.

7. When the fighter jet fly over our rooftop, she'll closed her 2 little ears with her hands.

9. Kicking ball.. we have a letter book, the page showing letter B is Ball, b'cos 姑丈 use to kick the ball at Ah Mah house, so this little one mimic him, when she saw the page with Ball, she use her leg to kick it.

10. Know how to 拜拜观音.

11. Can ask her to massage for you, just tell her "bang bang" your back, then she'll use both hand to bang bang your back.

12. Likes to play hide and seek.

13. Having 5 teeths already, this is the tooth chart that I use to jot down the date when I discover the teeth grow.

Only can think of those at the moment, will add in if I recall of any...

Dog Dog cookies

Now is 12a.m, I still awake, waiting for my dog dog cookies to bake in the oven. After reading Hooi Ling blog, I can't wait to bake it for my girl. It is so cute and look yummy. I went to Demeters this afternoon to get the ingredient and start making it after 2 girls sleep. Luckily got papa, who willing to accompany Kaitlyn to sleep else I won't have the chance to make this delicious cookies. Em... so yummy! So many people that I want to share to, shall I make another round tomorrow?

Half year assessment

Kaitlyn's school have their half year assessment for this 3 days, and today is the last day. They are test on B.English, B.Melayu and Maths. So after work and get everything done, I spend sometimes to help her do revision. Due to time constraint, I only able to help her revise the subject that going to test the next day. She's such a good girl that can sit down and let me prepare the question for her. Nowadays not easy to be a student and parent la, 4 years old already need to take exam! How can kiasu parent let the children lose!!

Hotel Stayed

Last weekend, we went to Parkroyal for 3 days 2 night stayed, without brought Mei Mei along. The whole trip was quite relaxing and I had chance to sleep well whole night and even take 2 hrs afternoon nap :P But... I prefer Mei Mei is with us, it will end up more fun.

My Fault

Mei Mei fall down and hit her back head last night, is my mistake, I didn't take care of her properly, here's how it happen:
While she standing near the cabinet, papa keep reminding me that she will fall down and ask me to put on eyes on her. After a while I see her stand quite ok so I try to take a shot for her, but at that moment, she let go her hand and fall, I can heard a loud "PONG" sound and my heart really broken.. I feel so sorry to her.

小姐妹

I bought Kaitlyn together to Ai Kian wedding last sunday, to become sisters. The day before I've told her we will ask the bridegroom to play some funny games and she's very excited. Able to wake up by herself in the morning and very co-operate, finished her milk in a jiffy and hurry off to dress up.

A present from Kaitlyn

I had my first mothers day present, is a handmade bracelet which put inside the jewerelly box, Kaitlyn bring this back from school for me and she told me that she made it. (I doubt, I think most of it is made by teacher la)

This girl very secretive, after sing 好妈妈 song, ask me to close my eyes and only give the present to me. She told me that this is very beautiful and I can wear it to party. Haha.. actually I don't really like it, is a kind of Ah lian lol. I know for sure I won't wear it but I'll keep it nicely. I feel happy for what she did. Actually I want to tell her that the best present for me is she's being good girl and grow up healthy and happily.

Leg only got blood and meat

Today when fetching 2 girls back from Ah Mah house, Kaitlyn keeps shaking her leg in the car.

Papa: Girl, don't shake your leg.
Kaitlyn: Why?? Why I cannot shake my leg?
Papa: Becuase you will shake away all the money.
Kaitlyn: Why? Leg where got money...
Papa: This is old people believe, they believe that if you shake your leg, all the money will go away.
Kaitlyn: I don't believe it, leg don't have money one la, I only believe leg got blood and meat.

All of us laugh after heard she said so...

Happy face redemption

In order to encourage Kaitlyn to have good manner and behave, I've make a simple card, which I call it Happy Face redemption card. I told her that if she's being good girl on that day, I'll draw a happy face for her. By collecting 60 happy face, I'll give her a rewards. We've try it for 9 days... and so far so good la as happy face is more than sad face.
